The School of Civil Engineering, Suzhou University of Science and Technology was founded in 1985, with its educational roots dating back to the Suzhou School of Architectural Engineering, which was directly under the administration of the former Ministry of Construction and established in 1953. The school holds a doctoral degree authorization in Civil Engineering as a first-level discipline. The discipline of Civil Engineering has been successively selected for the First to Fourth Phases of the Jiangsu Provincial Dominant Discipline Construction Project, awarded "Excellent" in the evaluation of first-level discipline master's programs in Jiangsu Province, and rated as "B-" in the fourth round of national discipline evaluation.

The school currently has 167 faculty members, including 137 full-time teachers, among whom there are 30 professors, 57 associate professors, and 19 doctoral supervisors. It boasts 1 Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 2 recipients of the "National/Provincial/Ministerial Outstanding Contribution Award for Middle-aged and Young Experts", 2 recipients of the State Council "Special Government Allowance", 1 recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, 2 members selected into the "Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand Talents Project" and 1 young scholar of the national talent program and a "Curriculum Ideology and Politics Teaching Master" recognized by the Ministry of Education. The school possesses three provincial-level research platforms, including the Key Laboratory of Multi-Hazard Safety Prevention and Control in Civil Engineering of Jiangsu Universities, the Key Laboratory of Engineering Seismic Resistance and Resilience Assessment of Jiangsu Universities, and the Jiangsu Provincial Engineering Research Center for Ecological Road Technology Industrialization. Over the past five years, the school has secured funding for more than 70 projects from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and won over 30 awards at the provincial, ministerial, municipal, and departmental levels; these include 1 First Prize of National Teaching Achievement Award and 2 First Prizes of Provincial Teaching Achievement Awards. Equipped with a sound teaching and research system and advanced analytical testing platforms, the school provides first-class teaching and research conditions for the education and training of doctoral students.

三、申请资格

1.非中国国籍人士，持有效外国护照。

2.已获得硕士学位，有相关专业背景。

3.年龄不超过40岁（1985年9月1日后出生）。

4.身体和心理健康状况符合国家和我校规定的体检标准，无中国法律法规禁止入境的疾病。

5.遵纪守法，品行端正，无违法违纪或学术不端等不良记录。

6.两名所报考学科专业领域内的副教授以上（或相当专业技术职务的专家）书面推荐书。

7.具有较强的语言能力，提供证明英语水平的材料。

8.硕士阶段GPA≥3.0/4.0（或同等标准）

9.研究计划审核（由拟申请导师及材料审核评价小组评估：研究问题是否具有创新性、可行性及学科相关性；研究方法是否科学合理，是否具备必要的技术或理论基础。）

10.在本人所从事的学科或专门技术上取得了优异成绩，在国内外核心刊物或重要学术会议上发表过一定数量的研究论文或作为主要完成人获得过国家级、省部级科技成果奖励；具有独立从事科学研究工作的能力，已作出有创新性的成果。

注：申请人原来为中国公民，后取得外国国籍者，按照国家相关规定审核。

Ⅲ. Application Qualification

1. Non-Chinese citizen, with foreign passport;

2. Already acquired Master’s Degree in a relevant major;

3. Under the age of 40 (birthday after sept1^st,1985);

4. Physical and mental health conditions meet the national and university’s stipulated medical examination standards, with no diseases prohibited by Chinese laws and regulations for entry.

5.Compliance with laws and regulations, good moral character, and no record of illegal or disciplinary violations or academic misconduct.

6.Two written recommendation letters from associate professors or above (or experts with equivalent professional and technical positions) in the relevant discipline.

7.Strong language proficiency, with materials provided to prove English proficiency.

8.A master’s degree GPA ≥ 3.0/4.0 (or equivalent standard).

9.Research proposal review (evaluated by the potential supervisor and the Document Evaluation Panel): whether the research question demonstrates innovation, feasibility, and relevance to the discipline; whether the research methodology is scientifically sound and supported by necessary technical or theoretical foundations.

10.In the discipline or specialized field of study, the applicant has achieved outstanding results, having published a certain number of research papers in core domestic or international journals or at major academic conferences, or having received national or provincial/ministerial-level scientific and technological achievement awards as a principal contributor.

The applicant possesses the ability to conduct independent scientific research and has produced innovative results.

Note: Applicants who are former Chinese citizens and have acquired a foreign nationality should be subject to relevant national regulations.

四、材料提交

申请人于2025年7月4日前提交材料，在苏州科技大学校内的申请者将纸质版申请材料交至苏州科技大学GG Poker下载 金螳螂404办公室，校外申请者通过电子邮件将电子版申请材料发送至邮箱[email protected]。材料按照以下顺序编号打包提交，未按期提交材料视为自动放弃。以下为需要提交的材料：

（1）硕士毕业证书及学位证书

中英文以外文本的证书需提供中文或英文翻译件的公证件原件，文件公证件需由中国驻外国使领馆或外国驻华使领馆提供。

应届毕业生由本人所在学校出具预计毕业证明原件，如录取，需在报到时携带毕业证书原件验证。

（2）硕士阶段全部课程成绩单原件或公证件及绩点。

（3）个人简历（自本科起时间连续的学习经历，有在华学习经历者需提供全部学习经历）。

（4）推荐信。曾就读过的学校两名副教授（或者相当职称）以上的推荐信，用中文或英文书写。

（5）护照个人信息页。

（6）语言水平证明复印件（仅限非英语国家）。

（7）HSK成绩报告（如有）。

（8）攻读博士学位研究生申请表（请按照附件1的模板填写）。

（9）证明学生学术水平的相关文件，如论文、专利等。

（10）外国人体格检查表:在国内的申请人须前往国内三甲进行参考公务员标准的体检，不在国内的申请人须前往所在地规范的公立医院进行体检，检查结果有效期为6个月，最晚须在入学前提交。

（11）非应届毕业生须提交无犯罪记录证明，有效期为6个月。

（12）硕士学位论文（应届毕业生提供硕士学位论文开题报告、非应届生提供硕士学位论文摘要及结论）。

Ⅳ. Material submission

Applicants must submit all required materials by July 4, 2025.

Applicants currently enrolled at Suzhou University of Science and Technology must submit the hard copies of their application materials to Room 404, Jintanglang, School of Civil Engineering.

Applicants from outside the university should submit electronic versions of their application materials via email to: [email protected].

All materials must be numbered and compiled in the specified order. Failure to submit the required documents within the designated time frame will be considered a voluntary withdrawal from the application process.

Required Application Materials:

(1) Master’s Degree Certificate.

Certificates in languages other than Chinese or English must provide a notarized Chinese or English translation. The notarization must be issued by a Chinese embassy or consulate abroad, or by a foreign embassy or consulate in China.

For current graduates, an original graduation certificate expected by the school must be provided. If admitted, the original certificate must be brought for verification during the registration process.

(2) Original or notarized transcript and grade point average (GPA) of all courses taken during the Master’s program.

(3) Personal resume (with continuous learning experience since undergraduate studies, and those who have studied in China must provide all their learning experiences)

(4) Recommendation letters. Two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English from professors or associate professors at institutions where the applicant has previously studied;

(5) A scanned copy of passport;

(6) Photocopy of Language Certificate (students from non-English speaking countries only);

(7) HSK (the Chinese Proficiency Test) Certificate (if available);

(8) Application Form for Doctoral Program Admission (Please complete using the template provided in Attachment 1).

(9) Documents proving the student’s academic level, such as thesis, patents, etc.

(10) Foreigner Physical Examination Form:

Applicants currently in China must undergo a medical examination at a Grade III, Class A hospital (the highest-tier public hospital in China), following the civil servant health check standard.

Applicants outside China must complete the examination at a certified public hospital in their current location.

The medical report is valid for 6 months and must be submitted no later than enrollment date.

(11) Non-current graduates must submit a Certificate of No Criminal Record (valid for 6 months).

(12) Master’s Thesis Documentation:

Current graduates (pending degree conferral): Submit the Master’s thesis proposal.

Non-current graduates (degree holders): Provide the abstract and conclusion section of the Master’s thesis.

五、考核与录取

苏州科技大学GG Poker下载 依据《2025年苏州科技大学国际博士研究生招生简章》文件，采用“申请-审核”制即申请材料审查加综合考核的方式选拔录取国际博士研究生。

（一）资格审查与材料评价

GG Poker下载 研究生招生工作领导小组组织专人对所有报考人员材料进行报考资格审核，不符合报考条件的考生不得进入下一环节。

申请人通过资格审核，进入材料评价环节，名单公示无异议后进入综合考核环节。

GG Poker下载 研究生招生工作领导小组组织以本学科博士生导师为主的不少于三人（含三人，且为单数）组成材料审核评价小组开展“申请-考核”制考生材料评价。择优拟定进入综合考核的初审名单，名单经学校审核通过后在GG Poker下载 网站上进行公示。

（二）综合考核（2025年7月8日）

根据学科特点和培养要求对申请者进行全面综合考核。综合考核采用面试的方式，具体如下：

面试主要重点考核申请人的综合素质（专业素养、学业水平、科研能力、创新潜质等）。每位考生不少于30分钟，给出面试成绩（满分100分），低于60分将不予录取。

1.综合素质考核

综合素质考核主要有以下内容：

①申请人PPT介绍个人学习与科研经历、已取得科研成果、博士阶段研究规划（10分钟左右）；

②申请人提交一份纸质版的博士阶段研究计划；

③考核小组专家提问：考察学生素质及品德、专业知识，学术视野、英语水平、交流表达能力等综合素养；

④面试考核小组专家各自打分，满分为100分。

2.综合考核成绩计算方式

综合考核成绩=面试成绩×100%

3.录取

学科按照综合成绩进行排名，择优录取。

Ⅴ. Assessment and Admission

The School of Civil Engineering at Suzhou University of Science and Technology, in accordance with the 2025 International Doctoral Admission regulations of Suzhou University of Science and Technology, adopts the “Application-Review” system—a selection process combining document evaluation and comprehensive assessment—for admitting international PhD candidates.

ⅰ Eligibility Review and Document Evaluation

The Graduate Admissions Working Group of the School will designate specialists to review all applicants’ materials for eligibility. Applicants who fail to meet the requirements will be disqualified from proceeding to the next stage. Those who pass the eligibility review will advance to the document evaluation phase. After the list of qualified candidates is publicly posted without objections, they will proceed to the comprehensive assessment phase.

The Graduate Admissions Working Group will form a Document Evaluation Panel consisting of at least three members (an odd number, including three), primarily composed of PhD supervisors from the discipline. This panel will evaluate applicants under the “Application-Assessment” system. Based on a competitive selection process, a preliminary list of candidates for the comprehensive assessment will be drafted. This list will be reviewed and approved by the university before being publicly posted on the school’s website.

ⅱ  Comprehensive Assessment(July 8, 2025)

Applicants will undergo a comprehensive assessment based on discipline-specific requirements and training objectives. The assessment will be conducted via interview, as detailed below:

The interview will focus on evaluating the applicant’s comprehensive qualities, including: Professional competence, Academic competence, Research capabilities, Innovative potential. Each interview will last no less than 30 minutes, and a score (out of 100) will be given. Applicants scoring below 60 will not be admitted.

1. Comprehensive Quality Assessment

The assessment includes:

①PPT Presentation (10 min) – The applicant presents their learning and research experience, achievements, and doctoral research plan.

②Written Research Proposal – Printed copy of the doctoral research plan must be submitted.

③Expert Q&A – Evaluates the applicants’:Moral character & personal integrity, Disciplinary knowledge &professional foundation, Research vision & scholarly perspective, English proficiency (verbal/written), Communication & presentation skills.

④Scoring – The interview panel will assign individual scores (out of 100).

2. Scoring Method

Final Assessment Score = Interview Score × 100%

3. Admission Decision

Admission will be based on ranking by comprehensive score, with the top candidates selected.
